The Office of External Affairs plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategic initiatives for communication, collaboration, and partnerships with various stakeholders. The Office focuses on managing current and identifying external-facing opportunities, engaging with external parties regarding the authority’s interests, fostering positive relationships, and advancing SRTA’s mission.

Overarching Responsibilities of the Office of External Affairs:

  • Public Education and Relations – The Office of External Affairs serves as the primary liaison between the authorities and external stakeholders, educating on the authority’s priorities and initiatives and enhancing public awareness and understanding of transportation issues, projects, and policies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – The Office of External Affairs develops and maintains strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders including government agencies, elected officials, community leaders, industry associations, non-profit organizations, and the citizens of Georgia.
  • Customer Experience Improvement and Innovation – The Office of External Affairs develops, promotes, and maintains a customer experience through the State Road & Tollway Authority’s various communication and digital platforms are both intuitive and exceptional in coordinating with Mobility Operations.
